| I have heard the singing in many places...I have heard it on misty migration nights when the dark has been alive with the high calling of birds. And on cold winter nights when the stars seem close enough to touch. I have discovered that I am not alone in my listening. That almost everyone is listening for something. That the search for places where the singing may be heard goes on everywhere.
My joy in photography is to find the places that singwith life, with color, form, texture and the touch of inspirational people, living and gone.
I am fascinated with environments. I grew up in Williamsville, a small town in Western New York, which was a near-perfect place for a kid, with waterfalls, creeks, woods, wild strawberry patches and a movie theatre.
As I have traveled, it seems that a peoples culture is expressed by the architectural and natural spaces they create. It has been my privilege to experience many kinds of spaces, from the Greek islands to the towering peaks of the Rockies. With my photographs I am always trying to capture, and thus interpret, these spaces for my audience.
