Artist Statement

As a fifth grader I sent in 50 cents and a Wheaties box top and they sent me a Regal camera. Since then I have been shooting the lines, shadows, moods, color, occasions, weather and people as they visually attract me. Because life is so transitory, I have wanted to make these images permanent.

There are times when the camera brings forth more than I had hoped and at other times it can?t cut it...

Until several years ago, my time had been filled with parenting and various aspects of nursing and counseling. Now at this time in my life I finally have enough time to review my old negatives and make them into original greeting cards and matted photos. The previous sentence isn?t quite true because digital photography makes so many things possible, I always have more ideas than I have time to implement.

For the past 15 years my work has been included in a variety of exhibits. It is evolving!
